A consultation and evaluation are performed prior to surgery to discuss all your treatment options, health history, risks, and benefits associated with treatment by the doctor. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss any concerns. Our financial coordinator will also meet with you to review your financial options.
At the end of your consultation, our financial coordinator will discuss your insurance plan in detail. She will contact your insurance company to determine if your procedure will be covered. You may also be offered various financial options that you can view here.
The recovery time varies based on your individual health, as well as the type of procedure you receive.
Every person reacts differently. We recommend starting off with eating softer foods that don’t require you to chew too much. We will provide you with detailed post-operative instructions following surgery.

It depends on the complexity of the procedure, but most cases are scheduled for 45 minutes to one hour.

You can drive yourself home after surgery unless you have had oral sedation, IV sedation, or general anesthesia.
The need for medication is based on each situation. Most often, though, you will probably receive some form of pain medication and antibiotics to prevent infection.
You may experience a high level of pain if you experience a dry socket (dissolution of a blood clot, leaving the bone exposed). Please call the office right away if you think you have a dry socket.
Most patients only experience minimal discomfort after dental implant placement.
